Eder Militão, also known as "El Eder", is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a defender for Spanish club Real Madrid B and the Brazil national team. Militão was born in Brazil on August 29, 1988, but he grew up in Argentina. He began his career with local side Deportivo de la Coruña in 2004.
In 2010, Militão moved to Spain after signing for Real Betis CF, where he quickly became a key player. In his first season with the club, Militão made 16 appearances and scored two goals. He impressed the coaching staff so much that they offered him a move to La Liga giants Atletico Madrid in 2011.
